Fuego Grill Review

The Fuego Professional F24C launched in November 2017. It stemmed from the award-winning grill design by Robert Brunner, former chief designer at Apple (designer of Beats by Dre) of the Fuego Element F21C (launched almost 10 years ago). We had a chance to try this little guy out and were very surprised and impressed by the performance. The Fuego F24c has the ability to heat up to 500°F in just 5 minutes, has a dual zone burner that allows for direct/indirect grilling, and can cook a pizza perfectly… I mean perfectly. Tested and approved by the team.

The Details

The Fuego Professional Grill is based upon the original award-winning Fuego Element design with added user-friendly features. It all started with the base design of the Fuego Element then Fuego thought about how to improve your cooking experience. The answers came from vast amounts of customer feedback and market research – the result is their latest and greatest model, the Fuego Professional Grill.

Here are some of the details:

  • Assembly takes 30 minutes or less with only 20 fasteners
  • Ability to heat up to 500°F in just 5 minutes (less wait for preheating!)
  • It has a dual zone burner that allows for direct/indirect grilling
  • Compact 24” x 24” footprint (with the lid closed)
  • Ergonomic-friendly hinged lid, strategically placed at a 45-degree angle to avoid reaching over the fire
  • Rolls smoothly on four industrial casters (two of them locking)
  • Has a hinged door to store the propane tank, and closes shut with a perfect door clasp
  • 525 sq. in. of grilling space (including the 110 sq. in. warming rack) — fits 20 1/4lb. burger patties at once.

Balanced Heat

The balanced heat aspect of this first is very impressive. Typically with smaller BBQ’s, you get a few hot spots while leaving the rest of the grill surface lacking. With this grill, you do not have to worry. Depending on what you are cooking, just turn on one of the zones and get to work. The Fuego team has created something special with these grills.

  • Concentric circle dual ring burner paired with our 15 lb cast iron grate is perfectly balanced to ensure no “hot spots” for perfect sear marks anywhere on the grill. Dual zone capabilities allow for the best of both indirect low and slow cooking or direct fast and hot grilling.
  • Zone 1 Indirect: 18,000 BTU/hr
  • Cook low and slow with indirect heat
  • Zone 1+ Zone 2 Direct: 18,000 BTU/hr + 8,500 BTU/hr = 26,500 BTU/hr
  • Uniform temperature and up to 650F direct heat for searing steaks & seafood

Perfect for Pizza!

If you are thinking about picking up a Fuego Grill, don’t forget the Fuego Pizza Stone Kit. the kit is only about $40 and is worth every dollar. I literally can not stop cooking pizzas on this grill. The grill heats up quickly and cooks pizzas perfectly. No joke. Tested and approved about 30 times.

The Fuego Pizza Stone Kit comes with the follow:

  • 16″ Pizza Stone
  • Foldable Pizza Peel
  • Pizza Cutter

Final Thoughts

Wrapping this up, if you are looking to pick up a nice space saving grill or just want to up your pizza making skills, I would strongly recommend the Fuego F24c Professional Grill. Tested and approved by the team.
